GrammarsBook.com — Helping You Learn English with Clarity and Confidence
Who I Am

Welcome to Grammars Book. My name is Rebecca Dieterman, and I’m a high school English teacher at Northern Michigan Christian School in Michigan. I created this website to help students, writers, and English learners understand grammar in a clear, practical, and approachable way.
Over the years, I’ve worked with learners at many levels—from middle school students to advanced high school writers—and one thing has always been clear: grammar doesn’t need to be confusing or intimidating to be effective.
Why I Started Grammars Book
The idea for Grammars Book grew out of my everyday classroom experience. While grading papers and answering the same questions again and again—“Is it who or whom?”, “Where does the comma go?”—I realized that many learners struggle not because they aren’t capable, but because grammar is often explained in overly technical or rigid ways.
I wanted to create a resource that explains grammar the way a teacher would during a one-on-one conversation: clearly, patiently, and with real examples. GrammarsBook.com began as a small extension of my classroom and has grown into a resource for learners from around the world.
My Teaching Approach
At Grammars Book, grammar is more than rules—it’s a tool for communication.
I focus on:
- Explaining why grammar works the way it does
- Using real-world examples, not abstract definitions
- Breaking complex topics into simple, logical steps
Whether you’re learning punctuation, verb tenses, or sentence structure, my goal is to help you understand grammar well enough to use it confidently in writing and everyday communication.
Experience & Background
I hold degrees in English and Education from Cornerstone University and have spent over a decade teaching English in the classroom. I’ve taught a wide range of courses, including foundational English classes and AP Language and Composition.
My experience in curriculum development and classroom instruction shapes every lesson on this site. I design content with real learners in mind—short attention spans, practical goals, and the need for clear explanations without unnecessary jargon.
About the Team
Grammars Book began as a one-person project and is still guided by my vision and teaching philosophy. From time to time, I collaborate with educators and language enthusiasts who share the same goal: making grammar accessible and understandable for everyone. All content is carefully reviewed to ensure accuracy and clarity.

A Note from Me
When I started Grammars Book, I didn’t aim to build a brand—I wanted to build a helpful resource. Grammar should be taught with patience, clarity, and respect for the learner.
If this site helps you understand something that once felt confusing, then it’s doing exactly what it was created to do.
Thank you for being here.
